The Borg co-opt the technology and knowledge of other alien species to the Collective through the process of 'assimilation': forcibly transforming individual beings into 'drones' by injecting nanoprobes. The Borg are cybernetic organisms (cyborgs) linked in a hive mind called 'the Collective'. Anyway, this enlarged Dominion would dominate 3 galactic quadrants, against less than one for the Borg (Borg's space is vast, but Delta Q has plenty of many other races). The Borg are an alien group that appear as recurring antagonists in the Star Trek fictional universe.

Sure, the Klingons were a problem for a while, and the Borg seemed really dangerous at first, but the two major threats in the Star Trek universe are the Romulans and the Dominion. which put the crew in far greater jeopardy against weaker enemies can whip you. First we have to remember that Voyager's journey started before Dominion war. So basically the borg would win a war against the dominion, but they wouldn't be able to assimilate the founders.Precisely I was thinking about 8472. In order to even try and assimilate a founder though, the borg would have to get close to the founders, and that would seem unlikely, because the founders would be much too clever for that. I think the borg would only be able to infect the founders with nanoprobes, but not assimilate them, because of their unique physiology as changelings (although the borg are great at adapting), and even if the nanoprobes partially assimilated a founder's body, I doubt they'd be able to link a founder's mind to the collective and turn them into drones.

However, the dominion are quite strong, and the founders are a very unique species since they're changelings, but they're still no match for the might, collective knowledge, and technology of the borg collective. They're a vast collective of many species and worlds, they have way more drones than the entire population of founders, jem'hadar, and vorta combined, and their ships are much more powerful, resilient, and adaptive than jem'hadar warships.
